Frequently asked questions
Got questions about transforming your garden or upgrading your home wellness routine? You are in the right place. As a family business operating a dedicated hot tub, sauna, and outdoor living showroom on the Isle of Man, we believe in giving you honest and straightforward advice. Whether you are curious about how our free site surveys work, what is required to install an outdoor kitchen, or how we handle local warranties right here on the Island, we have compiled the answers to our most common queries below. Grab a cup of tea, have a read, and if you do not see your specific question answered, our showroom door is always open for a chat!
Where can I see your products before buying?
We operate the Island's only dedicated physical showroom, located right here in Douglas. We have a wide range of hot tubs, saunas, outdoor kitchens, and furniture on display so you can see the premium quality for yourself before making any decisions.
Do you offer free site surveys on the Isle of Man?
Yes! We highly recommend a free local site visit. We will come to your home to assess your garden space, check access routes, and offer expert advice to ensure you get the absolute best product for your specific needs.
How much does a hot tub cost to run on the Isle of Man?
This is by far the most common question we get! Running costs depend on your usage and the specific model you choose. Because we supply Arctic Spas which are famous for their extreme insulation, and AquaSolus models which are heat pump ready, our tubs are incredibly energy efficient. We can talk you through exactly what to expect during your showroom visit.
What kind of base and electrics do I need?
A hot tub or swim spa needs a firm and level base, like concrete, paving slabs, or reinforced decking. For electrics, most premium models require a dedicated 32 amp supply installed by a qualified electrician, though we do have 13 amp plug and play options. We will guide you through all of this during your free local site survey.
What happens if my hot tub or sauna breaks down?
This is our biggest advantage over online UK retailers. We handle all spare parts shipping, repairs, and aftercare. You never have to deal with a manufacturer or wait for someone to travel from the UK. You have a direct, local point of contact right here on the island.
Where can I buy hot tub chemicals and replacement filters?
Our Douglas showroom is fully stocked with everything you need. Pop in anytime to pick up premium water care products, replacement filters, and accessories, or just to ask us a quick question about maintaining your equipment.
Do you carry out the installation of your products?
We manage the safe delivery and professional installation of all the wellness products we sell. From navigating tight garden gates to the final setup, our local team handles the heavy lifting so you can simply relax.
Do you do the landscaping or lay the concrete base?
While our expertise is strictly in supplying and installing premium wellness products, we work closely with highly trusted local tradespeople. We are always happy to recommend reliable Island contractors to help prepare your base or landscape your garden.
Can you help me out with the electrical supply?
We will advise you on exactly what electrical supply your specific product requires during your free site survey. While you will need a qualified electrician to run the actual cable, we can liaise with them to ensure everything is perfectly prepared for installation day.
What are the benefits of a salt water hot tub?
Salt water spas offer a much more natural and relaxing bathing experience. Instead of relying on manual chemical dosing, they generate their own pure sanitiser from natural salt. This results in clearer water that is incredibly soft and much gentler on your skin, hair, and eyes, all while drastically reducing the time you spend on maintenance.
Do you offer different price tiers for hot tubs?
Yes, alongside our flagship Arctic Spas, we proudly offer the AquaSolus collection. These provide a fantastic luxury experience at a different price point and are heat pump ready to help keep your daily running costs down.
Can I get a hot tub that doesn't use electricity?
Yes! We supply authentic Kirami wood-fired hot tubs. Made in Finland to an incredibly high standard, they heat the water using a highly efficient wood stove, giving you a beautiful, off-grid relaxation experience.
What is the difference between a traditional sauna and an infrared sauna?
Traditional saunas use a heater and rocks to warm the air around you, creating that classic high heat and steam experience. Infrared saunas use special panels to gently heat your body directly at a lower temperature. We have both types on display in Douglas for you to explore.
Can you build an outdoor kitchen in my garden?
Yes, we supply and install bespoke outdoor kitchens from premium brands like GRLLR and Bull. Whether you want a simple built in BBQ or a full culinary setup with fridges and Kamado grills, we can design the perfect outdoor dining space for your home.
Are your ice baths suitable for keeping outside?
Yes! Our premium Chilltub ice baths are designed to withstand the elements and can be placed indoors or outdoors. They plug straight into a standard socket and keep the water constantly chilled and filtered, meaning you do not need to constantly buy bags of ice for your cold plunge.
Do I need planning permission for a pergola or outdoor sauna?
n most cases across the Isle of Man, garden structures like pergolas and outdoor saunas fall under permitted development, meaning you often do not need formal planning permission. This generally applies as long as the structure meets certain height limits and is placed appropriately in your garden. Different rules can apply if you live in a conservation area or a registered building. As a local business, we are familiar with Manx planning guidelines and will gladly share our experience during your free site survey to help point you in the right direction.
