Description
Most outdoor saunas force a choice between social capacity and heat efficiency, but the Yakia 200 XL bridges that gap. As the largest model in the 200 range, the XL provides ample room for the entire family to relax together. By extending the footprint of the 200-series chassis, its distinctive face-to-face double bench design transforms the interior into a naturally social space. The iconic arched roofline naturally encourages a smoother “löyly” (steam) cycle, ensuring the heat remains consistent and enveloping from the top bench to the floor.
The engineering is specifically suited to withstand the UK climate. We utilize 40mm thermally modified timber, a material that has been stabilized through heat to resist the warping typical of standard wood. Inside, the two-level Thermo-Aspen seating provides a tactile, splinter-free finish. Powered by the upgraded 9kW Electric Yakia Wall-mounted Heater, the 200 XL reaches optimum temperature quickly and efficiently.

Important Maintenance & Warranty Information
-
While exceptionally durable, Thermowood will naturally weather and fade over time.
-
All external timber must be treated with a high quality wood preservative immediately after installation to preserve its appearance and ensure long term performance.
-
Failure to carry out this treatment will invalidate the warranty.
-
Yakia recommends Ronseal Trade Total Wood Preserver (Clear) for optimal protection.
Electrical Installation Requirements
-
Regular plug sockets will not work for traditional electric sauna heaters; they require a dedicated power supply and completely different electrical setup.
-
A qualified electrician must install a new dedicated circuit from your consumer unit and run appropriate gauge cable to your sauna location.
-
The installation requires a double-pole breaker rated for the heater and a disconnect isolator switch near the sauna.
-
All connections must be properly grounded, tested, and certified to ensure safe and compliant commissioning.
